Actions : agreement necessary between Actions and belief

Those who naturally behave according to the rules of justice, honesty and goodness without consciously basing their actions on a spiritual principle are deprived of something essential which would strengthen them in their convictions and sustain them through difficulties and trials. How can human beings imagine that the source of their most precious qualities lies within themselves? How can they fail to sense that beyond them exists an Entity who not only possesses these qualities in all their fullness but who is the source of them and nourishes them?
